To nobody's surprise I'm sure. But I figured I'd talk about it a little bit since I am finally committing to getting off that hellhole for good. I've made my final posts, linked my BlueSky, and hauled ass outta there. And it's a wonder I put up with it for so long too because holy fuck Bluesky is so much better????
Like yeah obviously, it doesn't come with the baggage of being owned by a far right dumbass or the reputation of "Being Twitter", but no I'm talking about features bro. Like yeah Twitter *technically* has more features, but Bluesky has features I actually fucking want. Their feed system, and their label system and that fact that I can actually SEE my friends posts it's just ooUUUGGHHHH
But besides that sadly I have not been up to much. Art block is hitting me hard, and I really haven't been able to draw in about 2 months. It's been really frustrating, but hopefully it'll be over with soon and I can like... draw again. Plus writing my thoughts out in this blog post helps a little. God I fucking hate having ADHD, it's genuinely the worst.
I've also been working on myself a bit too, which might also be contributing to the artblock. I've been exercising more often, even if it's just small, and I've even started to regularly brush my teeth (Yes that's something I've had issues committing to. ADHD for the loss...). Hoping I can keep that momentum up. I've been using an app I found called "Habitica", and it's been SUCH a surprising help.
My lil pixel guy, lookit her go....
It basically "gamifies" keeping good habits while tryna avoid bad habits, and it does this by simply having a character you level up by sticking to good habits, while bad habits reduce that character's HP. There's other RPG features to it, but that's what I've really been doing. Having a pretend HP pool almost hit 0 is a surprising motivator actually, and it's been a weirdly good help. I'd recommend it if you struggle like I do with really bad executive dysfunction like I do
That's about all I have tonight though. Gonna try and atleast write one of these monthly, that seems like a good bare minimum pace. Hopefully next time I'll get to talk about projects and shit and not just a life update lmao.
See y'all next time!
